Born in Wethersfield Connecticut, Alex Tawrel grew up next to a local country club and one day decided to attend a junior golf camp over one summer week. From that moment he was hooked on the game of golf. Alex spent all his summers from this moment on playing and practicing the game of golf to get his game to its full potential.

Alex began taking lessons from local PGA Professionals where his love for playing the game grew but also his passion of learning the golf swing and understanding the game from a technical point of view.

When it became time to decide a plan for college, he decided to pursue a career in golf and attended Florida Gulf Coast University and joined the schools Professional Golf Management program. This is where he met Andy Scott who helped take his game to the next level and had him playing well in program tournaments and helped his game to pass his Player Ability Test comfortably.

During his time in the program, Alex was able to internship at TPC River Highlands and grow his teaching knowledge being involved in a multitude of programs such as junior golf, group instruction and also conducting many individual lessons. Upon Graduation, Alex gained his PGA Membership and went back to TPC River Highlands where he continued to grow his teaching knowledge and work in many aspects of the golf industry.
